First of all, before I start to talk about how to find the right web developer or company, there is something that everyone needs to understand. We have moved, evolved so far for the last 10, 15 years, not just with technology and the Web, but also the way we do things, and the value we provide to the market, to other people. So it’s critical to look at this from a bigger, higher perspective.

Web development or Web design are two almost the same things with the same meanings. In the old days, you’d have a web designer to write the code of your website, either HTML or PHP language, do and add some graphics, make it live on the internet and job done! You spent about $5000, and end up with maybe nicely looking design, but in other words, useless, static website where you can’t easily add the new content every week or month without contacting and paying your web designer. Also, without a proper marketing effort from your side, nobody would even find your website because no one optimized it and promoted it. There were only a few people who knew how to do this, and those were very lucky because they literally had no competition on the online market, not like today.

15 years later we do things a little bit differently and by we I don’t mean just, but every high-end innovated Web development company that focuses on every aspect of fully responsive design optimized for the best UX, optimized content on the website (on-page SEO), marketing efforts such as Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Marketing, and Paid Advertising. Those are three pillars of effective website promotion on the internet, but either just one of those techniques if done perfectly could have a massive impact on any business.Is it easy?

Is it easy? Of course not otherwise everybody would be doing it, but it’s perfectly applicable and doable. And those are the companies and experts that I am talking about.

The smart people like us would learn these things the hard way by going out and experimenting and testing everything, make it work, and then come back and offer it to others.

So, instead of marketing in just one field of a business, now it’s more like an all-in-one solution for the businesses, starting with web design and development and ending with a solid search engine marketing campaign. It’s no brainer that every business owner would rather give a shot to the one that offers more than the other. But the problem is that we are still in an early young age of digital marketing, and there are still so many of those that have no clue what can for example SEO offer to them, or they have been mystified by others who pretended to be the experts but didn’t deliver the results.

It’s time for the change, so people get to know and educate themselves on this subject a little bit, so they easily spot the bad company or an expert.
